Editorial standards
We write as a travel desk, not a booking engine. Guides should help someone decide when to go, where to sleep and how not to be a nuisance. If a fact is seasonal — ferry hours, park fees, fire closures — we date the piece and update it when we can.
Sources and country
First Nations place names are used where they are the names in common use, and we do not invent ceremonies or “secret sites”. Wildlife advice leans on park services, not souvenir shops. When we are guessing, we say so.
Money
Paid links, including hostel or tour partners, use rel="sponsored". See the where to stay hub for the current example. Guest posts follow the same rule; the write-for-us page explains how to declare a conflict.
Pictures
Photographs are Creative Commons or public domain, self-hosted, and listed on the image credits page. We do not scrape hotel galleries.
Corrections
If we have a place name, season or fee wrong, use the contact form and choose “Correction or update”. We would rather be accurate than first.
